MISSION STATEMENT
In a joint effort with Masjid Dar-ul Qur'an, we are committed to providing a high quality education that not only meets the New York State Department of Education standards, but well exceeds it. MDQ Academy is determined on raising the bar for the student academic achievement coupled with a strong Islamic education. We firmly believe that a balance between mind and soul is essential for the well-being of individuals, and a key factor for a better society.
MDQ Academy was established in 2003 operating out of a small building adjacent to the Masjid. By the Grace of God Almighty, the enrollment kept growing to fill the original building and an adjacent building across the street. At the present time both buildings are at capacity. Now the need is more than ever for a bigger facility.
Our goal is to build a state of the art school in three phases:
We are planning on having all phases on, and adjacent to, the same lot as the Masjid. For this purpose, we have recently bought another house and plan to build a new structure on the two adjacent lots, as soon as the architect's plan is approved by the buildings department. A potential expansion to yet another adjacent lot might be needed in the future, however, this is not until we get to phase three. The estimated cost of this project is about 2 million dollars. We have started campaigning for the expansion and we look forward to your cooperation.
